Hot n’ Crispy Little Chicken Drumsticks

Uh-oh, another chicken recipe ;)

Sometimes when a craving hits me… it hits HARD and I want to get my hands on it  N-O-W. This time the craving was for hot and crispy chicken drumsticks. However, I didn’t want big drumsticks I wanted the smaller ones that are actually parts of chicken wings. So I told hubby that we NEEDED a few things from the supermarket (wink* wink*). Actually, by now my husband knows what I mean when I say this. LOL.

So off we went, grabbed a few things and of course grabbed a pack of small chicken drumsticks. I tell you this recipe is finger linking good! You can have it as a snack (like I did!) or as a side dish.

Little Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients:

12-15 little chicken drumsticks
3-5 tbsp Maggi *hot* liquid seasoning
Chili garlic oil
paprika
dried parsley
salt
pepper
corn meal

Procedure:

  1. Mix all the ingredients – apart from the corn meal – into a zip lock bag and store in the fridge for at least 3 hours turning the bag over every now and then. If you think this will be too hot for you, you can skip the paprika.
  2. Heat the turbo broiler to 150 C.
  3. Dust the chicken drumsticks with corn meal just before you put them in and then cook for about 30 mins. (If you’re using a deep fryer, this will take just about 10 minutes.)

Cooking Hot Chicken Drumsticks

If you’re wondering why I don’t have an image of the end result… I told you I had a craving and by the time I remembered, well, hubby and I had nothing to present but the leftover bones.
